Alfred Privacy Policy

Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]

Alfred is an AI assistant you text, iMessage, or call, run by Little Zhuzh Zhuzh LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Alfred ("we" or "us"). Questions: hello@text-alfred.com.

The short version

1. What we collect

2. How we use it

To reply to you, keep your lists, calendar events, and reminders, remember household details you asked Alfred to remember, run billing, prevent spam and abuse, fix problems, and follow the law. During the beta, chats may be viewed to fix problems. Access is limited to the founder and logged, and beta transcripts are deleted after 90 days.

Improving Alfred (on unless you turn it off). Like most AI assistants, we use chats, including how requests are phrased, to improve Alfred. You can turn this off at any time by texting "stop improving" (or later on your account page); text "help make Alfred better" to turn it back on. When it is off, your chats are not used for improvement. Simple counts of request types (for example, how many reminders versus calendar events), with no message content, names, or numbers, are kept for everyone. We never sell your data.

3. Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run Alfred for us, under their own privacy and security terms:

ProviderWhy
TwilioText messages and calls
LinqiMessage delivery
OpenAI and other AI model providers [LIST]Understanding and answering messages
GoogleCalendar events, only if you connect Google Calendar
VercelHosting and storage
StripePayments, if you pay
CloudflareWebsite and email routing

We also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or if the business is sold (the buyer must keep this policy's promises). In a group chat, Alfred's replies are visible to everyone in that chat.

We do not sell or share your phone number or text messaging opt-in information with anyone for their marketing.

4. Chats stay separate

Things said in one chat are not repeated in another chat unless the person who said them asks Alfred to share them.

5. Children

Alfred is for adults, and for teens 13 to 17 on a parent's plan with permission. Children under 13 may not use Alfred, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents may tell Alfred about their own children (names, schedules, pickups, activities) so Alfred can help the parents. We use those details only to help that household, never sell them, and delete them when you ask or close your account. Please share only what Alfred needs. If you believe a child under 13 is messaging Alfred, email hello@text-alfred.com and we will delete it.

6. How long we keep it

We follow the same approach as the major AI assistants: your history stays while you use Alfred, and when you ask us to delete it, it is gone within 30 days.

WhatHow long
Messages, lists, events, reminders, household detailsWhile you use Alfred, until you delete them
After you text "delete my data"Erased by an administrator within 30 days (see below)
After you close your account or stop using Alfred for 12 monthsDeleted within 30 days
Records flagged for abuse or safetyUp to 2 years, only as needed to stop abuse
Server and delivery logsUp to 30 days
Billing recordsAs long as tax law requires
Beta transcripts (beta only)90 days, then deleted

We may keep something longer only if the law requires it or to resolve a dispute. AI providers that process your messages keep them no longer than their business terms allow (for example, up to 30 days for abuse monitoring), and we use zero-retention options where they are offered. What AI providers do with messages they have already processed is governed by their own terms, not this policy.

How "delete my data" works. When you text "delete my data" (in a one-on-one chat or a group), Alfred does not erase anything on the spot. He tells you your request has been passed to an administrator, and an administrator carries it out within 30 days. Alfred confirms in the same chat when it is done.

What is erased: your messages and Alfred's replies to you in our logs and beta transcripts, the lists, events, reminders, and household details for your one-on-one chat, your saved sign-ins on Alfred's computer (if any), pending trial or plan offers, scheduled messages, and the copies of your messages kept by our text-message provider (Twilio). In a group chat, if you are part of the household that uses Alfred (or the only person left in the chat), the group's lists, events, and reminders are erased too; if you are a guest in someone else's household chat, only your own messages and details are removed and the household keeps its lists and reminders. We also ask our iMessage provider (Linq) to delete its stored copies where it lets us.

What is kept: billing records for as long as tax law requires; a minimal do-not-contact record (a scrambled version of your number, whether you asked us to stop or delete, and the date) so we honor your choice; and records flagged for abuse or safety for up to 2 years. Messages already delivered stay on the phones of the people in your chats. AI providers that processed your messages may keep them for a limited time under their own terms (see above).

7. Your choices

We verify requests by confirming you control the phone number. Depending on where you live (for example Texas), you may have further rights to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your data, and to appeal a refused request by emailing us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject. We honor these requests for all US users.

8. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our hosting providers, kept in private storage, and access is limited. Alfred is not end-to-end encrypted: Alfred's servers and AI providers must read messages to answer them, and regular text messages are not end-to-end encrypted. No system is perfect. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

9. Changes

If we change this policy in a material way, we will tell you by text or on our website before it takes effect.
